Automotive

ABTS manufactures parts for the automotive industry that enhance vehicle safety and security and involves the precise production of critical systems that protect both passengers and assets.

ABTS is able to produce a multitude of parts with our in-house manufacturing services, including components such as reinforced brackets, impact-resistant panels, and mounting systems for safety systems such as cameras, chassis and doors. These parts are engineered to integrate seamlessly with a wide range of vehicle platforms, enabling adaptations for specific use cases, such as fleet vehicles, emergency services, or accessible transport.

With a focus on durability, compliance, and innovation, these components play a vital role in evolving vehicle designs to meet bespoke customer requirements.

The automotive industry relies on precision, repeatability and scalable manufacturing processes, all areas where ABTS excels as a subcontract fabrication, machining and powder coating specialist. Our integrated capabilities allow automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to streamline their supply chain by consolidating multiple manufacturing stages with a single, reliable partner.

ABTS supports automotive engineering teams with high-accuracy laser cut, formed, welded, and machined components made from mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Our Trumpf 4kW fibre laser, capable of cutting up to 25mm+, ensures clean profiles and consistent tolerances essential for structural components, brackets, fixtures and production tooling.

Automotive applications often involve tight dimensional control and robust material performance. ABTS delivers this through precision CNC folding, coded MIG/TIG welding, and controlled assembly processes that ensure accuracy across both prototype and volume production runs.

A key differentiator for ABTS is our advanced powder coating line, capable of finishing components up to 6m x 2m x 2m. Automotive clients benefit from a broad range of specialist coatings including anti-corrosion, nylon, polyester, anti-graffiti, metallic, and textured finishes. These coatings improve durability, chemical resistance and surface quality for both visible and structural components.

Typical automotive products include:

  • Fabricated brackets
  • Structural and safety components
  • Vehicle interior metalwork
  • Production jigs and fixtures
  • Electrical housings
    Machined components and mounting systems

With ISO9001 and ISO14001 certification, ABTS maintains strict traceability, consistent quality control and repeatable production processes suited to automotive supply chains. We work closely with engineering, procurement and R&D teams, offering quick quote turnaround and design-for-manufacture feedback to reduce costs and lead time.

Because ABTS provides fabrication, machining, assembly and finishing in-house, automotive customers benefit from shorter production cycles, fewer suppliers, simplified logistics and reduced handling risk.

For OEMs seeking a dependable partner for ongoing supply agreements, ABTS delivers scalable capacity supported by over £2.5M investment in technology and a team of more than 40 skilled engineers.
