We use state of art 4kW, 5-axis bevel head (and tube cutting) lasers, offering:
-Aluminium
-Mild steel
-Stainless steel
-Cutting tolerance to +/- 0.05mm
-Profile cutting (tube and box section)
-Bevel head cutting allowing for weld preparation and chamfering
-24-hour turn around service
Fabrication
With over 100 years of fabrication experience throughout our workforce, we are always able to fabricate to your needs:
-7-Axis press brakes
-CNC tube manipulation
-Mitre bandsaw and chopsaw cutting
-Fully equipped fabrication department (drilling, tapping, notching, rolling)

Welding
ABTS offers a complete welding service including MIG, TIG and spot welding across a vast range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Capability and skills to weld small precision parts through to large panel work and structural assemblies.
Welding qualification to BS EN:287, BS EN ISO15614-1:2004 & BS EN ISO15614-2:2005.
Working in line with railway standard BS EN 15085 CL2.
Assembley
ABTS have a well-equipped and dedicated assembly area for both small and large quantity requirements.
Whether a simple hinge, lock or bracket installation or a more extensive complete unit kit assemblies, the team here ensure high levels of quality and consistency across the assembly of all components.
Inspection
We have a variety of in-house inspection capabilities:
CMM Inspection:
-Axiom too 1200 CNC CMM (1.5m bed)
-RTP20 auto indexing head (non-motorised), Renishaw PH10T head with a TP20 probe @ 15º increments. MCR20 auto-change rack & extra TP20 stylus
-CAD Comparison Software – for measuring complex components against IGES or STEP models
-22” Dual Monitors and stands, for use with Vision and CAD software.

Extrusion & Castings
ABTS are able to procure aluminium extrusions, and castings:
-Extrusions up to 620mm wide and 26m long, finished in natural or anodised, in a wide range of material grades (1050, 3003/3103, 5083, 6060, 6061, 6063, 6082, 7108).
-Precision sand castings from small and intricate, to 1000mm ‘cubes’.
-Investment castings in many materials and grades: aluminium, steel + stainless steel.
